Favorite Camp Food: Harry’s Banana Cream Pie Favorite Camp Activity: YILT worship on the beach
Aaron Fishburn grew up at Tall Timber Ranch, jumping in wherever needed from a young age. After graduating from Whitworth University with a degree in Theology and minor in Music, he married Beth, a singer/songwriter and fellow Whitworth grad who had also enjoyed Tall Timber as a kid. Together, they enjoy making music together and have two great kids. Aside from a childhood immersed in camp ministry, Aaron brings his energy and experience as a youth director, carpenter, and property manager, into his role as Executive Director.
He prayerfully strives for Tall Timber to be a place where people may gather and grow closer to God and one another.
What makes camp special to you?
To me, it acts as a thin space. A place where the distance between Heaven and earth just seems to be closer.

I grew up in Wenatchee, and began attending Tall Timber in elementary school. I gave my life to Christ there during my second summer at camp. After high school, I attended and graduated from Whitworth College & Princeton Seminary. I then served churches in Ellensburg, Idaho, and now East Wenatchee as a Presbyterian pastor, always involved in camp ministry. I am married with three sons, and two grandsons.

What makes Camp special to you?
As a Jr. and Sr. High camper in the 1980s, I was captivated by the beauty of God's creation at Tall Timber and deeply moved by the love for Jesus that camp staff and counselors so genuinely displayed. These experiences profoundly shaped my faith and left an enduring impact on my life.

Favorite Camp activity: Worship
Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Dave grew up going to summer camp. At 18, he moved to his childhood camp in the redwood forest for two years while attending college. When he moved to Washington to go to Pacific Lutheran University and then Central Washington University, he met Stan and Becky and they recruited him and his girlfriend Laura, later to be his wife of 37 years, to be on staff in 1986. Since then, Dave has served in many capacities at Tall Timber including Adventure Camp Dean, Worship Leader, Speaker, and of course his favorite, YILT for almost 20 years. As he nears the end of a 32+ year career as a public school teacher, and with 4 children, all adults, Dave is looking forward to having more time to dedicate to ministry with high school students and young adults at Tall Timber.

Favorite Camp activity: Camp Work Retreats
My name is Jason Gamble and I’m 47 years young. I have been married for the last 26 yrs to my beautiful Wife Elizabeth and we have two children Madeleine (23) and Aidan (19) who spent their summers at Tall Timber. I’m a Native Washingtonian having lived and attended churches around the state. I have served as an Elder and President at Snohomish First Presbyterian Church where my wife and I currently worship and are members. I love music and the outdoors spending as much time possible hunting, fishing, boating, surfing, singing, and attending live performances.
What makes Camp special to you?
Tall Timber is special to me because of the role it has played in my faith journey along with my wife and our two children. Finding a church family and community to raise our children was extremely important to the both of us. Snohomish First Presbyterian church provided that foundation for us to raise our children and Tall Timber was one of the major ministries that the church supported. There are countless memoires at Tall Timber for all of us of family retreats, men’s retreats, women’s retreats, and kid summer camps that help us grow closer to God and together as a family. Our daughter even served on staff one summer as the Director of Music and will be getting married in the meadow by the Napeequa River. Serving on the Tall Timber board is a small way that I can give back to a place that has given so much to me and my family.
